Dr. Arkles formed Gelest Inc. to develop and manufacture silicon and metal-organic based chemicals and polymers for applications in microelectronics, optoelectronics, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Prior to the founding of Gelest, Inc., he was a co-founder of Petrarch Systems, Inc. and then Vice-Preseident of Corporate Development for Huls America. Dr. Arkles received his doctorate from Temple University and has published over 150 technical articles and been awarded over 75 patents.
